Joseph Brekker has been found guilty of murder in the first degree and before the judge passes sentence Brekker passes his own sentence. He vows that every one of the jury that put him down, Judge Wilson and the only one smart enough to track him down - The Shadow - will be killed, starting with the foreman who will die the day he burns.
