Lenning’s is one of New York finest and largest department stores of which Richard Lenning is president and general manger. Mr Lenning has not arrived yet but somehow that doesn’t seem to matter. His secretary Julia Scott is a very efficient young woman. Julia falls in love with her boss Richard Lenning but he doesn’t respond except in business terms! In this comedy drama they get married and Julia discovers that home life with Mr Lenning and his spoilt daughter Annabel, played by Edith Fellows the same role that she played in the 1935 film, is very different from working together.
