With the death of Julius Caesar, the Roman Empire was ruled by a triumvirate, Caesar's nephew Octavion, a soldier's statesman name Lepidus, and the famous Mark Antony. It was a time of turmoil for Rome, with the triumvirate threatened by Pompey a former ruler. It was at this climactic time that Antony, just as his hero Caesar had, met and fell completely under the spell of the dusky, seductive, immortal Queen of Egypt, Cleopatra. While the empire of Rome tottered, Mark Antony stayed on in Alexandria, bewitched...
