The stage from the east was arriving in the little western town of Crown Bute, but not in the usual way. The horses, wild eyed and panic stricken thundered down the road, while the stage careened from side to side. The driver had lost the reins and the panicked animals paid no attention to his shouts. The townspeople stared at the sight in astonishment, then added their shouts to that of the driver! Somebody has to stop those horses!
