William Powell reprises his 1947 Universal comedy film roll as the bumbling wannabe president, Senator Ashton. For the past years he has been keeping a secret diary of all his party members indiscretions and shady deals so they are sure to support his candidacy but then the worst happens when the diary goes missing!
