A respectable and wealthy married man Dan Creighton disappears mysteriously after receiving a phone call from a lady and so George Valentine is hired by Mrs Creighton to try and find him. Valentine gets to work to digs out enough evidence to get a logical answer that Creighton ran away with someone else who is straining at marital ties, Mrs Holder the wife of the manager of one of the movie theaters owned by Creighton. But Valentine has doubts and so does Mrs Creighton.
