Flying north to Ohio, and then west to Nebraska, Hop, Tank and John Temple from the FBI followed the trail of suddenly discordant bells. Bells which had been sent from the carillon to various towns in the United States, and which for some mystifying reason, had lost their perfect tone. The trail ended in Nebraska, there the last bell rang out off key.
