Flying to the small Ohio town of Flemington, Hop, Tank, and the FBI agent John Temple, pursued their investigation of the sudden, puzzling, discordant tone to the carillon bells. Questioning the pastor from the local church, they learned that the bell in the steeple had lost its tone three days after its installation, for no apparent reason - just like the three other bells from the carillon.
