Why has this house withstood the bulldozer and the developers? One reason is that nobody thinks its for sale. Another, is that there's no way to build a clutch of cottages or ranch houses off a road that winds like a corkscrew up a mountain side. So, there it stands; Crows Nest is what it's called - a wooden mansion of many secrets, shutters shut, doors locked, the iron gates below the house rusted as they stand open. What happened here thirty years ago? It looks like whoever left that mountain lodge, left in an awful hurry...
