Boston Blackie’s wristwatch and gun are found near the dead body of Danny Chico and Inspector Faraday accuses Blackie of the murder. Blackie escapes from Faraday and learns from Chico’s mother that Danny knew a crook by the name of Tommy Philips who Blackie helped send to jail about three years ago.
