It’s all for money says Lieutenant Riley and there’s no mystery about it, that’s why people do things. But George Valentine is not sure that he agrees because Reggie Stebbings a convicted murderer has been killed, shot down in the street as he was handcuffed to the arm of a policeman. Yet his killer instead of running has walked straight up to the police and given them the gun. And why? Because he wanted to do it and is quite orepared to face the electric chair.
