Sharing her miserable confession with Father Donahue on her deathbed the mother told of her two sons. Thomas the first born was as good as an angel in paradise but her second son Paddy was evil from the moment he took his first breath. It was Thomas that took the load of the family on his back, fishing from early till late while Paddy with his drinking and brawling was growing worse as the years went by. Then when Thomas was to marry Eileen she was so happy little knowing of the horror that was to come.
