Two weeks ago at the meeting of the Parent Teachers Association it was decided to form a school orchestra. When the question of getting a capable musician to lead the children was raised, Phil jumped to his feet and offered his services as conductor. There was a moment of stunned silence and then the principal recovered his composure and said, "what's a matter, you crazy or something?" However no one else volunteered so Phil got the job!
