The other day Miss Hartford the stores new general manager discovered that Lum and Abner had enough old unpaid accounts in their unorthodox bookkeeping ledgers to save Lum and Abner from going through bankruptcy. So she immediately imposed upon them the task of collecting the bills. Well after several days of this however, the old fellows have been unable to collect a single penny. Mostly because they never even mention the subject!
