Franklin J Reeves is from New York but came out west a couple of months ago to invest some money in land and cattle. He is a rich man and today his fiancée Laura is arriving on the stagecoach today from Denver. Reeves is concerned when he finds out from Chester that the stage is also carrying $50,000 in gold. The stagecoach is held up but no shots are fired and as well as the money Reeves's fiancée has also gone missing.
