This is a story of flight. A flight from fear. It begins appropriately enough with an aeroplane circling the sky above Manhattan, in the monotony of a holding pattern. Suddenly, it drops swiftly away to the ground, skims along the runway and comes to a roaring halt. In the airport terminal, a solitary man sits in a small lounge marked private. A commotion in the hall outside brings him quickly to this feet, expecting the arrival of a prima ballerina.
