Chester A Riley formerly of Brookland and now a war worker in California is known as a very honest man, but he’s also human and thereby hangs today’s tale. It all began, ironically enough with a lecture on honesty delivered by Riley to his wife over a pay station telephone. When he finishes the call a load of nickels rattle out of the pone box and Riley doesn't know what to do. He is thinking of keeping the money, all 85 cents of it, but is plagued by his conscience questioning his decision. After talking to his friend Waldo he suggests he rings Judge Sludge's Fair Deal Court on radio for his advice.
