The year is 1774, and in the American colonies of his majesty, King George III, a young American cavalier named Adam Cawlier, comes home from Oxford in England, to Albany in New York to meet with his attorney and the settlement of his father's estate, which includes some land near Lake Champlain, currently inhabited by the Green Mountain Boys, and Ethan Allen.
