In this passionate story set in French Indochina Clark Gable reprises his 1932 MGM screen role. On the hot steaming banks of the river winding through the jungle from Saigon, there is a rubber plantation owned by Dennis Carson. Dennis has just boarded a steamer to head back to his plantation with his new engineer, Gary Willis. Unbeknownst to Dennis, Gary has brought along his wife, who just happens to be a beautiful little firecracker called Barbara whom he falls in love with.
