John Dore lives in a cabin with his granddaughter Betty. He strikes gold and is so happy and excited that he jumps for joy and steps in a hole and breaks his leg. Betty goes to find help but the two men who she comes across have no intention of helping her grandfather, only of taking his gold claim.
