The Black Museum; here in a grim stone structure on the Thames, which houses Scotland Yard, is a warehouse of homicide a very strange room where everyday objects, a woman’s shoe, a tiny white box, a quilted robe, all are touched by murder. Here’s a raincoat, a familiar object waterproof cloth, rayon lining, a collar you can turn up against stormy weather, here in London it’s called a Macintosh. But you wouldn’t wear this raincoat; this raincoat, which was found, tucked around a poor murdered woman and partially burned. Today this raincoat can be found among the exhibits of the Black Museum.
