Young Bill Tyler, who had been at school in the east for several years, suddenly determined to return to his father's ranch. No sooner was his mind made up, than he began the long journey. When at last the stage halted on the trail in front of his home, he ran across the yard and hurried eagerly up the steps of the porch he had known so well as a boy.
