Butler was making fun of Mr Thatcher who was telling the men in the Long Branch saloon about his quarter horse colt. Things were about to turn nasty when Matt Dillon turned up and warned Butler to leave Thatcher alone. Thatcher fed up of Bultler always bragging about his stock decides to challenge Butler to a grudge race and stakes his ranch on the race.
