The story you're going to listen to tonight began in 1909. Holmes wanted Watson to accompany him to the Savoy Theater to see a play about Sherlock Holmes based on Dr. Watson's own stories. The lead actor Sir Claude Horton has asked Holmes to come and see him at the Savoy, urgently. A box has been reserved for them and they are greeted by the actor taking the part of Professor Moriarty. An attendant passes Holmes a note which tells him to watch the occupants of the box opposite them, but as they look to take note of the occupants, the house lights are dimmed……
