It is Pittsburgh a winters evening in 1938 and before a fireplace in one of the towns most beautiful rooms stands Herbert Prentis. He is in full evening dress a very tall very big handsome man. He looks at the clock it is exactly eight o’clock and his wife Ellen is ready on time but she is not wearing the white dress she got in Paris and her husband is not happy and refuses to take her to the party. Ellen prays not to be afraid of her husband and to be asleep when he arrives home but then receives a phone call. Her husband has been involved in an accident a very serious accident…
