Insurance investigator, Johnny Dollar has to travel to Port-au-Prince, the capital of Haiti to keep Ralph Gordon, whose life is covered by a policy in the amount of one hundred and fifty thousand dollars, from dying of a voodoo curse. Ralph's brother, Thomas Gordon a medical doctor can find no real malady with his brother and can only deduce that he is suffering mentally.
