Today's story takes place in a small town, with a Christian congregation who don't look kindly upon the visiting circus. When one of the circus aerialists, Polly, is injured, she is taken to the nearby home of the minister, John Douglas, and the circus is forced to leave without her whilst she recovers. Polly is different to anyone John has ever met, and he develops strong feelings for her, but the congregation aren't too happy about it...
