Plutocrat, The

Broadcast: 28th September 1936
Starring: Cecil B DeMille
Added: Jun 13 2001
Comedy in which Wallace Beery plays the part of American millionaire Earl Tinker the owner of a large meat packing company in Omaha. He is taking his wife and daughter on vacation and the opening scene takes place in the stateroom of a steamship crossing the Atlantic Ocean on it’s way to Algiers. Mrs. Tinker lies ill in bed suffering from a rather bad attack of sea sickness and complaining bitterly, when the door opens and in walks their daughter who also feels the need to stand on terra firma. The dialogue is funny and the story entertaining.
