For some time now our Miss Brooks and Miss Daisy Enright, both English teachers at Madison High School, have competed for the affections of Mr Boynton Madison’s biology instructor. The rivalry may be compared to the spectacle of two fine boxers skilfully sparing for an opening or two master chess players carefully planning each move or two great generals planning attack and counterattack or, as Miss Brooks puts it, a couple of dead end kids armed with broken milk bottles and brass knuckles!
