Lawyer David Trask is traveling from Chicago to Los Angeles, but one technical issue after another leads to him befriending three of his fellow passengers during the unscheduled stops and delays. When the plane crashes, and he is among the few to survive, he feels compelled to contact the families of his dead friends to help them come to terms with their loss.
