Lum and Abner are in the Jot 'Em Down Store and restaurant searching for the missing pearl. Abner put the pearl in a match box in a safe hiding place behind the lard bucket but now it is not there. Lum and Abner think that someone has stolen it and are wracking their brains thinking who has been in the store and who could have taken it.
