This story is about Paul Reese a sports reporter fascinated by journalism. But after a few years newspaper reporting became nothing more than a tiresome poor paying job, a job that forced him to deal with men of wealth fame and power and yet never permitted him to ascend to their level as an equal. Because of fate he overheard a conversation, which leads him to make a decision, which leads to evil and eventually to his death.
