Dr Christian explains to the chief of police that it is his job to handle the sick and he will handle Edward while he is in the hospital. He tells him that Edward won’t go on lying once he finds someone who trusts him. The Chief needs to question Edward but Edward is not going to tell the police anything that will convict his own brother Randolph. Edward is nothing like his brother but blood is thicker than water and Edward understands his brother.
