Barbara Stanwyck reprises her 1947 film role as seriously ill concert pianist Karen Duncan, George Brent plays the part of Dr Stanton, Richard Conte reprises his film role as Paul Clermont the man she meets while she is ill in the Swiss mountains and whom whisks her off to Monte Carlo and Joan Loring also reprises her film role as Celestine Miller who becomes her friend in the Swiss sanatorium.
