In the 1870s, Albuquerque in New Mexico was a lively town. It had discovered, and was exploiting, the rich timber, mineral and agricultural resources in its vicinity, and it was becoming important as a wool growing center, and located as it was in the fertile valley of the Rio Grande, it was attracting droves of eastern and midwestern farmers looking for inexpensive land. Naturally, it also attracted the gamblers and outlaws - such as Arch Colin and Sid Lock - who right now are sitting in the Free and Easy Cafe...
