Johnny Dollar receives a telephone call from Ralph. They are investigating a 52 year old man who married a 27 year old girl 8 months ago. One month after they were married an insurance policy was taken out for $50,000 on a Chief of Police's salary. Three days ago, the man was shot to death. 24 hours later the man's "grieving widow" filed a claim on the policy. Johnny has to go to Greensport, Missouri to investigate.
