Boston Blackie’s friend, Charlie Kingston believes he is responsible for the suicide of Ralph Burton. Blackie in trying to ease Kingston’s conscience finds that Mrs Burton is seemingly unaffected by the death of her husband, that she is an habitué of Tony’s a gambling house and that she has been left a fortune by her husband.
