An original radio play about John Keats tragic life, especially written for the Cavalcade of America.

Our story begins in London in 1809. Upstairs over an old livery stable beside the Swan and Hoop Inn, young John Keats, barely fourteen years old, keeps a lonely vigil with his dying mother. Just before she passes away from tuberculosis, she tells John that she has signed the papers to appoint Mr Richard Abbey the guardian of her children, Fanny, George and Tom, aswell as John himself.
