A rash of killings occurs, and each case the victim has been placed in a situation reminiscent of a Mother Goose rhyme (a woman named Polly, for instance, is placed, shoeless, in the fireplace, in memory of "Little Polly Flinders, sat among the cinders, warming her pretty little toes"). It's up to The Shadow, to solve the case.
