It seems that the latest fad amongst the housewives of America is to attend the auctions of second-hand furniture and antiques which are being held in just about every town. Gracie and her neighbor Mrs Morton are no exception and here we hear Gracie outbidding herself for a coffee grinder. Gracie has run up a bill for $40 and doesn’t have the cash right now to pay for her purchases. She has until 7.00pm tonight to return with the cash or her goods will be sold.
