Night Without End

The city has experienced three days of total black fog nothing but night, night without end darkness and nobody knows the cause. Then it transpires that the mayor has received an extortion note demanding five million dollars for dispelling the fog. A sensational new smokescreen devise invented by the famed scientist Dr Heath and designed to protect entire cities from air raids has been stolen and Doctor Heath has disappeared. There now seems to be no doubt that the three days of darkness terror and death has been manmade.
