Ninety one years ago, a train pulled out of the Philadelphia terminal. It was a special train - an excursion train. The passengers were in a mood of anticipation. They talked of the long war, the hard won victories, the ceremonies they were going to attend that afternoon at Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, and of the men who would speak the words of dedication. Especially the one man, and quite naturally, because he was the President of the United States.
