Emily Rogers was a widow woman and wrote to her dear niece explaining how she had taken her advise in finding some sort of position to occupy her. She put an ad in the paper “genteel from secretarial experience drives own car desires position of interest with reliable business house” and the very next day she received a reply from a Mr Bruce from a small publishing company in Los Angeles.
