Augustine Chadwick had the 18-gun brig Flame. The crew has mutinied in the bay of the Seine and are holding Chadwick and the other men hostage. The crew want an amnesty. They want Chadwick hanged and the rest of them to be forgiven or they’ll hand the brig over to the French.
