Julie Fraser blond actress and friend of Margo Laine's is murdered and her hair cut off. famous French singer Jean LaRue is stabbed in the throat and killed. They were both clients of Mr Fleming who had recently insured Julie's Hair and LaRue's voice. Naturally Fleming was Lamont Cranston's first port of call but Fleming denied the killings.
