When high explosives rock certain parts of the city, Britt Reid at the Daily Sentinel hears word that a protection racket has been hitting fruit stands when the Italian owners won't pay up. There have been three bombings and several murders already, and the Green Hornet is needed to break up the racket before there are any more deaths.
