Elbert Taylor was two people. To the café society crowd in Miami he was the charming young husband of a silver fortune from Denver. To his wife Helen aged 45 amply mature, the silver fortune he was something else again, an unpleasant little boy whose unpleasantness had a tendency to make the large fortune in to a smaller one. This made for friction of course. After three years of marriage Helen was sick of Elbert.
