Warren Mitchell has lived with his uncle ever since his mother died and is soon to come of an age when he will inherit her fortune. His uncle Claude and aunt want the money all to themselves and plan to kill him and make it look like an accident. Lamont Cranston notices something strange about Warren when he is in a car with them. The way he acts to the car engine is as though he has been hypnotised. The Shadow determines to pay a visit on Uncle Claude.
