The phrase "public servant" has been applied to our Senators and Congressmen so often and so continuously that for many of us, it has almost lost all meaning. Factually however, there is no more precise and exact phrase. Not only are our lawmakers public servants on a national level, but like doctors, they're on call constantly from back home voters, the constituents from cities, town and farm. Most calls are of the simple variety, involving Senatorial advice, influence or any of a thousand simple things. But you never can tell, when the simplest doesn't in fact, develop into the most complex!
