Stage holdups were frequent in the early days of the western United States. Every coach carried an armed guard - but one man was helpless against the bands of outlaws. Right now, three men sat at dusty table in a tumble-down shack. Gunny sacks were hung over the windows, and a lamp turned low, cast a narrow circle of light.
